About the event
European Rapid & Blitz Chess Championships 26
The European Championships will gather top players from across Europe under the auspices of the Portuguese Chess Federation and the European Chess Union.
The playing venue is the modern Portimão Arena in sunny Portimão, Portugal.
Rapid Chess Championship
5 to 6 Dec, 11 rounds, 15'+10'' time control
Blitz Chess Championship
07 Dec, 13 rounds, 3'+2'' time control
Fischer Random (Chess 960)
08 Dec, 9 rounds, 10'+5'' time control
How to Participate
Registration Deadline: 05 november
Registration is done exclusively through the official form, which must be sent to europeu@fpx.pt. Both national federations or individual players can sign up with the form. The deadline for registration is 05 November 2026.
Registration by email or any channel besides the official form will not be accepted, with the exception of players currently affiliated in the Portuguese federation.
In case of a late registration, an extra fee in the amount of 20,00 EUR will be charged.
The Organizers reserve the right to verify the data provided in the registration form by unrated players.
